Air Fryer Chicken Thighs 3 Ways


I'm no snob when it comes to air fryer cooking. I truly believe it is a game changer for convenient cooking. My most recent air fryer obsession has been chicken thighs! They're low maintenance, full of flavor, packed with nutrients, and forgiving (for those of us who are prone to over cooking our meat...).


Below you'll find 3 recipes for cooking chicken thighs in the air fryer. Pair them with your favorite starch and veggies for a complete and easy meal!


Chinese Five Spice Chicken

Ingredients:

  • ~1.5 lb chicken thigh, boneless skinless

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp five spice

  • 2 tsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp ground pepper

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Recipe:

  1. In a gallon ziplock bag or marinating container, combine all ingredients and mix until evenly dispersed.

  2. Marinate for 2 hours, or overnight if preparing the day before.

  3. Cook in air fryer at 375 F for 12 minutes, flip the chicken over, then cook for another 6 minutes. *note, every air fryer is different, so cook times may vary

  4. Enjoy!

Garam Masala Chicken

Ingredients:

  • ~1.5 lb chicken thigh, boneless skinless

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp fennel

  • 1 tbsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp turmeric

  • 1.2 tsp coriander

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 inch fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or vegetable oil

Recipe:

  1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix contents until evenly dispersed.

  2. Cook in air fryer at 375 F for 12 minutes, flip the chicken over, then cook for another 6 minutes. *note, every air fryer is different, so cook times may vary

  3. Enjoy!

Chipotle Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs skin on, bone in chicken thighs

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tbsp - 1 tbsp chipotle powder (per spicy preference)

  • juice of 1 lime

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or vegetable oil

Recipe:

  1. In a gallon ziplock bag or marinating container, combine all ingredients and mix until evenly dispersed.

  2. Marinate for 2 hours, or overnight if preparing the day before.

  3. Cook in air fryer at 360 F skin side down for 15 minutes. Flip, set temperature to 400 F and cook for 4-5 minutes. *note, every air fryer is different, so cook times may vary

  4. Enjoy!
